Slave In A Free Fall

Poem By JeanPierre Barakat

In my solemn art I lay
Horizons at a distance
Stars stare in dismay
When I glance away
Craving for existence

I dare not say a word
As I absorb infinity
Not a sound is heard
I live in this absurd
Silence of serenity

So if I heed Your call
Would I be free again?
Would I be just a brave
Man who’s but a slave
Facing a long free fall?
