Snow Straightaway (I Love You)

It’s only a mile
Not far away
I’ve had one drink
Ill be ok
I pull the starter of my snowmobile
Gas pumps into the engine
The engine screamed in fury
I punch the throttle
The machine sprints down the trail
Faster and faster the snowmobile ran,
Like a closet monser being chased off by a six foot man
Feeling the sense of speed through my soul
Until my sled slipped into a hole
I flew off of my machine and into a tree
And I saw my body, I looked upon me
Things got dark
And warm welcoming light appeared
I knew it was over
I knew it was done
And now I only wish I could’ve said goodbye to my son
