So Much Life For So Much Death

Poem By Danny Speicher

The leaves fly above my head
As the dog barks down the street
Fall has come like a thief in the night
Stealing life from summer, replacing it with death
The colors are prettiest right before the fall
The wind blows hardest right before the storm
Funny how much life
Can bring so much death
