Song For The Papers

Poem By Elizabeth Walker

Ten o'clock news there's your face again
wll that's not who i remember you bein'
bass thumpin playing basketball
but you took a drastic fall

now they're six feet under and you're in jail
both locked up on your harmonica to wail
this is a wrong you cannot right
you both fought hard but lost the fight

i dont know what game you think this is
but you're not winning by using violence
so put down your gun adn close your knife
or you'll be leading a lonely life.
