Song Of Lilith

I sing of your audacity
O Co-ancient of days
The universal Soul
The Mother of all
5 The Queen of Liberty.

Remind us of the D-day
O Seed of mankind
Against His passivity, Muslim
Over the garden of eternity
10 You chose the tree of Knowledge.

How can I in silence
O silent Ocean
What you’d suffered pass over
Seeing leisure canals criss-crossing
15 The stillness of your plain?

With my mortal lyre and voice
The wings of the wind I shall break
And ten times a day sing
The Eating of the Fruit
20 Of that Tree of Immortality.
