Sonnet: Advice To Brethren

God knows our foibles and our strengths all well;
He knows our hearts and minds and bodies, needs of life;
We can’t pretend for He knows how we fell;
To love Him better, He allows us strife.

The modern world has much evils/vices;
So, man can slip with ease on any ground;
Engrossed we live about soaring prices,
By misery and woes, devils us hound.

Let mind not fill with vanity and pride;
Our earthly stay can still be made worthy;
Life’s journey should not be a wild horse-ride;
Righteous and God-fearing much, let us be.

The God who made us has a plan for each;
Let’s do our duty ’fore to next we preach.
