Sonnet- Eleventh September,2001
That fearful day in September, naught one!
by Dr. A.Celestine Raj Manohar M.D.,
When rudely was America awakened;
Four giant ‘birds’ from sky came crashing down;
The world lay terrorized, shocked and threatened.
The World Trade Center simply disappeared;
Buried alive were thousands in seconds;
Billowing smoke, Noises and flames appeared;
The Pentagon was hit without funds.
The mighty nation no more felt secure;
The war against terrorism was on;
The threat was real for the world’s future,
As fear and pall of gloom afilled each dawn.
India was quick to respond to this call,
For success lay in involvement by all.
