Sonnet: Man’s Logic Fails
I wonder what my poems will fetch me;
by Dr. A.Celestine Raj Manohar M.D.,
I’ve built a skyscraper all on my own;
With labor hard, I’ve hurried earnestly;
Yet, when it comes to poetry, most frown!
I swam the seas so perilous, alone!
I saw some sharks and whales that ‘troubled’ me;
The water was so spine-chilling to bone;
I’ve reached the coastline on my own safely.
Great men have had their days of agony;
The world will tease all honest man with ease;
Yet, God denies me some extra money,
Which I presume could give me mental peace.
My logic isn’t correct for God is wise;
How can one guard one’s soul while playing dice?
