Sonnet: Men Collude In Sin

Some mortal sins are of convenience,
Like adultery, murder and false-witness
Between two individuals or more; hence
People commit them without harness.

The devils link the minds amongst sinners,
To sign a pact of mutual sinful ‘joy’;
And soon turn out to be real winners,
While sinful souls imagine they enjoy!

The bond grows stronger with the passing time;
The sinful habit turns now addiction;
The partners sin in almost any clime;
Until the devils bring on them affliction.

But lo! Tis late for remorse, repentance;
’Tis time for God to pronounce His sentence.
