Sonnet: Never Give Up
Am I fighting against too many odds?
In all the world so vast, have I no friend?
Yet, death and problems come to commons/ lords;
I know this life on earth is not the end.
Could I dilute my principles too good?
Could I lower my ambitions in life?
Should I change over to a happier mood?
Could vices mitigate my earthly strife?
Unwavering must be courage on earth;
Troubles and joys are fleeting, impermanent;
Heaven is not for those without this birth;
To do good things, we need a divine bent.
Just like the sky that becomes clear and blue,
When purified, the soul too changes hue!
