True Beauty

I look at my love
with her dark tendrils
and her dark eyes.

Eyes that are always
here, but never
where they want to be.

For she seeks
true beauty,
a true beauty that does not exist in this world.

And so she retreats,
retreats into
her own world.

A world of green,
and red,
and blue.

And often I fear,
that one day she will retreat
and I will never see her again.
