Sonnet: The Fulcrum

The Balance of Life, an angel does hold,
With fulcrum, pans of good deeds and of sin;
Man tries to alter the fulcrum, so bold,
With a bid, the Final Judgment to win.

But, what a pity? He doesn’t realize,
God’s balance is the most perfect of all!
An earthling shouldn’t be always worldly-wise,
And not listen to the Heavenly call.

The few remnant virtues, a man holds back,
O’er-shadowed by sins and his growing vice;
And ultimately, he is sure to lack,
The money needed for Heaven’s fair price!

The worldly-wise man is a trend-setter!
The soul-wise human, a Heaven-getter!
