Sonnet - The World Today(16)

The Tornado destroys things in its wake;
The Storm at sea has capsized Boats and ships;
The heavy rain has flooded vale and lake;
With Winter, mercury sub-zero dips.

The scorching Sun has parched all fields and lands;
The forest-fires have left just stubs of trees;
Most nations have gone into corrupt hands;
The world's people breathe polluted sea-breeze.

And evil-minds have plundered their own soil;
World's terrorists are bent on revenge first;
Samaritans good, help their attempts foil,
And forces good unite avoiding worst.
New diseases plague human beings, yet,
But Maker stays becalmed, His eyes well-set.
