Sonnet: When Man Can’t Conquer The Earth

Rich nations make visits to Space by ship,
By manned/ unmanned space-probes to distant sites,
Hoping to find others like man to lip,
And take his achievements to newer heights!

Perhaps, they hope to find diamonds, gold-dust,
Or meet a species, brainier than Man;
Perhaps, their curiosity is first;
To gather knowledge; make a Super-man!

But lo! God fixed the stars and planets high;
To reach them one by one, man can but try;
Man’s genius makes things afar look nigh;
But, secrets of the Universe can’t die!

’Tis better Man studies the earth much more:
Not waste his time in learning how to roar!
