Poem By Ashleigh Gaffney

I'm sorry you’re hurting
I know I was wrong
I guess this sounds like
Just the same old song

Please say you’ll forgive me,
But I will wait if I must
But I will try to convince you
That I can rebuild your trust.

It Happens

Harsh words and violent blows
Hidden secrets nobody knows
Eyes are open, hands are fisted
Deep inside I'm warped and twisted

All For You

I have nothing left
My road is a dead end
So I'm going to crash
On life's next bend

People all around you
Have to stop and stare
Some will even wonder
How those scars got there

Daddy, Where Are You?

daddy where are you?
who are you?

What You See

Through the eyes of a stranger,
I'm one of a kind,
I'm known to say what's on my mind.

I Am Sorry

Everything you said and did was right for me,
I can’t discern why I failed to see.
Your disciplinary action was your patter of correction,
Could it have been that I felt guilt and contrition?
