Poem By Tanist Denise Bolden

A morning greets you in the morning
The breezes feel like raindrops
I plattered gently against your skin
The virgin of freshness sings.

Faith

Faith is believing in something
When there is nothing
For circumstances suggest
In the higher tower

Heritage

Standing barefoot on a summer day
The small of fresh plowed earth
beneath my feet
Heat waves warm my blood

Reservoir

Icicles on my window pain
Smoke from a nearly chimney
Both restating the same
Warmth and desolation

Purpose

Sometimes I think it is defeat
The status quo maintained
I look again
The untied lace
