Poem By Cassandra Helen

Blemishes on the night’s face
Glowing brighter with each passing hour.
With each iridescent wish
And each shining prayer.
Fuller and fuller.
The hopes of humanity in the heavens.

Angels with spiked wings
Playing tag ‘round our dreams.

An explosion against the dark.

Hopes and dreams
And shimmering things,
Fall back to where they belong.
The night is clean again.

Comments about Stars

I liked this poem the best out of the three of yours I read. I was just a little confused by the last line. 'The night is clean again.' I thought the stars were a blemish on the night's face?
I enjoyed 'Mirrors' and the next two were even better! Keep submitting.

Sprinkles falling onto frozen faces
Don’t fight gravity
And other facts of life
Lost to the opulence of the city

Embers of voices
Crackling in ears.
Light leaving dreams,
A pile of ash.
