Still For You

Poem By Cigeng Zhang

The flower, scattered
The leaves, old
The riverbed, iced
You not yet appeared

The wind, heavy
The fog, hazy
The coral, reddened
I'm coming in sincerity

Like a sheeny canary
I sing an easy ballad
Sing your name repeatedly
Along the road you passed

I thought this was a very nice piece of poetry :)
The flower, scattered The leaves, old The riverbed, iced You not yet appeared... Joy with happiness...waiting
The wind, heavy The fog, hazy The coral, reddened I'm coming in sincerity ......beautiful
Like a sheeny canary I sing an easy ballad Sing your name repeatedly Along the road you passed..beautiful poem dear poet.
This poem is now three years old, and it still resonates strongly for me. When I read it in the past year or so I didn't leave a comment because that theme of faithful but futile waiting for someone was so much my present experience. Now I'm liberated from that waiting which is another name for hope, and can appreciate this poem for the consolation its lovely language shares with everyone.
