Still Life

Removed from the moment, into tranquility.
Placed inside the very air that I breathe.
Overcome by the quiet, the stillness.
Absorbed in silence - released of all duty
Behold this feeling, this peace
For the evil of time cannot steal this.
To challenge for naught - erase or help
And threads now left - serve only for mending.
You gently move into my being - your presence
And console with - rest awhile, renew thyself
Stayed by the portrait revealed in - your voice
Then depart - the void now filled by the ending.
