Stomp On It

Head held high, you’re feeling no regrets.
No shame in your game, you command respect
A rod iron spine won’t let you bend,
you don’t pretend but try not to offend.

Apologies are a tough pill to swallow,
Words you say sound blatantly hollow.
You offer not explanations, no justifications or
rationalizations for any awkward situations.

Void of ability to show humility
and your head casts an enormous shadow.
Turn a blind eye to your friends who shun you
because they see you as extremely vain and shallow.

What do you do when your pride controls you
where your judgments remain rigid and tight?
Stomp on it!
It’s never too late to change how you relate.
Just work at it until you get it right.
