Story Of A Lover, And Not A Fighter

The joy of
Driving off the end of the Earth
And landing harmlessly into your lover’s arms
That’s the story of a man who is a lover
And not a fighter

But loving is painful
A pain that hurts more than loneliness
A hit so much less physical than a punch
Fore there’s more than one way to hit a man
To break a bone, or a heart

To be with another
But to feel more alone than ever
Wilts a man’s spirit
Like too much sun wilts a flower
But the flower still has its thorns
