Strait Jackets

Poem By Charlotte Ballard

Quite comfortable,
After awhile.
Snuggling deep,
Letting go of
Warm thoughts that
Trickle down my leg
Like dirty urine,
Welcoming the white confines.

Only the screams hurt.

Wow, this is great and vivid. Like a false leg or handcuffs, a person might feel that what is holding them back or keeping them in is actually part of them, and usually temporary. But no-one can escape from what's inside. This is what I get from this poem. The language is brilliant. Sx
