Strangers

Poem By T.C. Nyxx

If there’s anything that I can do,
If there’s anything that I can say,
Tell me what it is,
And I’ll be on my way,
We’re just strangers anyway,

If there’s anything that I did,
If we could’ve forgotten just today,
Then I’d wish we’d never changed,
So I’ll be on my way,
We’re just strangers anyway,

If you would stop your stares,
And I would stop my gaze,
But that’s not the case,
So I’ll be on my way,
We’re just strangers anyway,

Strangers that have never met,
Strangers that would never say,
Strangers that look straight ahead,
Or even turn and walk away,
Strangers that have only said,
“I don’t know about him,
But to me, he’s dead.”
We’re just strangers anyway.
