Stuck

Poem By Madeline Fazio

Eveyone moves on, But she stays stuck in the same place
Everyone grows up, But she stays stuck with the same face

Scared to let herself shine
She stays out of the spotlight
Always trapped in the dark
She becomes a shadow

No one really understands
Walking through life so alone
She's so afraid to open up
But she's the only one to blame

How It Happened

Summer, So full of anticipation
Waiting, For the day is coming near
Arrival, I am relaxed and unaware
Intrigue, I see you sitting in the distance

Buddy List

I see your name appear on the list
And my heart sinks like a rock in the ocean
Heavy breathing soon follows
Until I click on you and type the words hi

I Miss

I miss the way we talked for hours
and the way we synchronized
I miss those unexpected late night showers
that left us out of breath

Speechless, As Usual

It’s happening again
The words just seem to leave my mind
I stare in silence I don’t know what to say
There is so much that I could say

Boredom

Boredom is such a horrid thing
It leaves you with nothing to do but think
I fear at times like these,
that is the last thing I wish to do

Never

I see you there and chills run down my spine
It’s like that first time you hear a song,
That touches something deep down inside you
