Sub Zero Reflection

As the cold creeps in
It’s written all over your face
You’re still lost in the back part
Of old December days
And the walls aren’t caving in
They’re shying away in disgrace
And as the space opens up
You need a feeling to replace

Lose your mind
Lose all attachments
Stuff a towel under the door
Yeah, who needs them?
Got money on your mind
But not in your hand
When that door swings open
You could really use a friend

Sure, a thousand times before
The mark’s been made
It’s a badge of honor
Not a price to be paid
And if you were unhappy
At least you were unafraid
Is it right to dance with monsters
Just to avoid being prey?
