Sunshadow

Choices burn desires way,
Passions speak of yesterday,
Calming waves greet this day,
As her horse rides swiftly past us.
Lethargies bane my crippled limb,
Dry and shrivelled loves fair wing,
Open maw left echoing,
While her steps ring in the distance.

Swift and true,
Riding on,
Swift and true,
Against the sun.

Darkness in my spirit,
Shatter in her path,
Sunspots in my eyes,
Sunshadow in my heart.
To late I snatch at chances,
Shades shimmer in the air,
So close I can almost taste it,
So close, but just not there.
