Sunshine After

She’s like sunshine after rain
She lights up a room
And lightens the mood
When she smiles the world smiles
The birds sing and butterflies fly
Flowers bloom and the moon chuckles
Her face can launch a million stars
The epitome of fun and laughter
Chocolate cheesecake and peppermint ice
Full of the spice of life
Uninhibited and carefree
She reminds me of me
A long time ago now
When I was fourteen.

The person you are talking about sounds wonderful - she must be your daughter.
What a joyful poem this is! Well done
Yes Herbert, I do agree with you. It sounds much better. Thanks for that. Gyp's
Excellent, Gypsy.4th line, do you think it might be better to leave 'too' out? Just a thought, Nadja. Hxx
