Take It

Poem By Darren Lew

Take my arms,
Take my legs,
Nothing will be said.

Take my fingers,
Take my toes,
My ears and my nose.

Take my hair,
Take my eyes,
My skin and my lips,
Now you’re gone,
I’ve no wish to kiss.

My stomach you can have,
Foods lost its taste,
Lungs unnecessary,
Each breathe seems a waste.

In return may I ask,
That you return my heart,
Even in pieces,
It’s worth more than the lot.

Maybe Tomorrow

A long time now,
Since my love departed,
But the stitches in my heart,
Are barely holding.
