Take My Breath Away

Poem By Michael Antone Sr.

'It's not the number of breaths you take but the number of moments that take your breath away...'

Listen to my words, as I look in your eyes.
That my words are true, they tell no lies
In this moment I find so divine,
Accepting your heart, hoping to be mine,
This you should know, with me you dine.
Every year, every month I think of these days,
The moments that take my breath away,
It’s not counting the numbers of breaths you take,
But to count all the days you lying awake,
Understand on this date, this ain’t luck but true fate.
Now that you’re here, it feels as if time stands still,
Is like being in Heaven, and God must be giving me His will.
