A Wink From Hesper

A wink from Hesper, falling
Fast in the wintry sky,
Comes through the even blue,
Dear, like a word from you…
Is it good-bye?

Across the miles between us
I send you sigh for sigh.
Good-Night, sweet friend, good-night:
Till life and all take flight,
Never good-bye.

Teachers are some of the greatest individuals on this planet. A most deserving tribute to a noble profession!
In the U.S. we do have Teacher's Day. Mostly the office staff celebrate it though! Some of the children will bring gifts or apples to the teachers. Our teaching staff in Phoenix, Arizona is below par for the most part in public schools. Private and Catholic schools are far more advanced and the children better educated though1 New Jersey is way ahead of all the states in education! Thank you for sharing this important celebration from India and Bangladesh. RoseAnn
Truly, teacher's day celebration gives an honor to the man making process
Teacher has continuous, selfless and precious efforts in shaping the student’s future. They are the great. So nicely and vividly penned and presented. A beautiful poem towards the tribut to teachers. Many thanks dear Asit, may God bless you and to your teachers. ......10
