Tex-Mex Contrivance

Poem By Stephen S. Yeandle

Echo’s in ethnic
colorful
and
clever
parrot parlance
a masquerade
of
Cliché pleasantries
in
abundance
on
Earth stage
made of
paper-mache
marionette
fingers
ventriloquist
mouth
maneuvering
lives
with such ease
led like
lemming
to the edge
from which we
naively
tumble
