The Adirondacks

Poem By David Arthur Jacques

Deep in the mountains
There are many streams
And the River Valley of life;
Begins Again! It was here the last Indians!
Prepared for war! They came into my Garden
All ready to fight;
So like a proper Englishmen
I said, "Why do you want to fight?"
