The Beach

Poem By Michele Phillips

Shining sun warms my face
Sunny sandy sacred place
I am energized

Air brisk and briney I breath in
Cool and fresh on tawny skin
I am comforted

Soft sloshing waves lick the shore
Beckon me to explore
I am reborn

Comments about The Beach

Seagull soils my straw hat And again on my back I am P*SSED

Mediocrity

Stuck moving in this heaving mass
Poked along like cattle by some
Unseen slaughterhouse lackey
I am being smothered by my own breath

For My Friend

A mother's anguished sobs
Echo in the early morning
Wretched cries of sorrow borne
For the young life torn
