Out On A Limb

Strength waning, feeling out on a limb
without a place to land.
Keeping together by thought placed in many
poems throughout life.
Precluding any possible missteps while
moving forward.

At the age of 79yrs this is the first time that I have read this poem. As I was reading, I thought that over the centuries since the poem was written, child abuse still takes place. Even with social services and other protection agencies so many people for too long, escape justice.
