The Bright Light Of New Days

No one who has discovered,
The bright light of new days.
To find them fresh and motivating.
Should be expected to neglect themselves.
Or thought to be selfish.
If with various attempts made,
To rescue and elevate anyone determined...
With hopes to find,
Something old or borrowed stashed away...
Collecting dust on top of its rust.
Located in a darkened basement.
With it brought to the surface.
In the hopes that this proves,
Them to be down to Earth more than others.
Others living their lives,
Being inspired by the present.
And not the past to re-create,
Embellishments to generate interest.
Or conversations spiced with excitement.
No one,
Who has found to discover the bright light...
Of new days to find better ways to live.
Should be expected to pretend a kept interest,
In whatever it is time has rotted.
