The Campaign 1988

Material that I did not originate,
I feel that I must eliminate.
It is very unfair to plagiarize.
This we must all recognize.

Innuendos by politicians to us blared
Made us wonder if they were running scared.
That which was too unethical to mention,
Our politicians have brought to our attention.
Some rhetoric that we have heart,
Was a new low, the maximum of the absurd.

The political rhetoric has been so diffused,
To make the average voter completely confused.
Some political rhetoric is so difficult to discern,
That many voters are left with no concern.
