The Celtic Nations

From the celtic nations came the celtic sounds
and a strong belief in the air and the ground
with a spirits freedom of an age gone by
they would praise the earth
and they would praise the sky

And every flower and every tree
was a living testament to liberty
each one had a future as it had a past
and all life was sacred in the celtic path
with a spirits freedom of an age gone by
they would praise the earth
and they would praise the sky

With the sea a rolling and the rushing brook
they would tell their children
'Take a look, '' Take a look, '
At the world around you try to understand
you should be so grateful of the air and the land
with a spirits freedom of an age gone by
they would praise the earth
and they would praise the sky

And the celtic nations sang the celtic songs
they would live with nature it would make them strong
for it has a beauty and a darker side
and they would praise the earth
and they would praise the sky.

Beautiful poem, Charlie. I have always been fascinated with the Celtic ways, the music brings tears to my eyes. There must be some long lost connection. Thanks for a wonderful read and a trip back in time. Linda
