The Circle

People get tired.
The battles they've fought
Are not yours to understand
And when they finally fall
To grace,
They have given birth
With heavy eyes,
That they never wished
To close,
In hopes of a fresh
It's not yours to
But it is their desire
To be heard
In the soft echo
Of their loved ones,
Who haven't been
There yet.
Fountains of tears
Fill and refresh
The glorious pool
Which was never filled
On the short time
They had on earth.
The silence
Of forever closed eyes
Gives us hope
And awakening.
In a world
They would not
In this day
Take a breath
My fellow man.
We are not so
Far apart.

Christine, such an excellent poem...10+++
From experience, I find my talent calls to me. This poem was just that. How simple life is, before it becomes complicated! It is not how we deal with the nature of life in its simple form; No! It is how we interpret its complexity, and its perfection in its unique form, that we find ourselves.
