The Conqueror

The Conqueror
That
Was a sword-wielding
Giant
Of giant heart
Giant proportions
He has faded
Where be he now?

With him
Faded the cobwebs
Of his ages?
So said my Monsignor.

Today
Conquerors there be
And many
Yet subtle, subtle
More subtle
Than the giant Conquerors
Those dinosaurs of olden
Ages
The Conquerors of today
Act subtle, subtle
And pretend
Not
To
Look
From
The
Above
But subtle
Subtle
They walk the streets with
Us
The easier
To deceive and capture
Us.
