The Cycle

Poem By Jayne Tan

In the start of spring,
Our eyes met nervously.
We started laughing,
Our friendship blossoming.

In the blazing summer,
We drew close to each other.
The joy and memories we shared,
The pain and memories we cared.

In the falling autumn,
We sat together without comments.
Leaves starts falling,
Laughter starts leaving.

In the icy winter,
We went our seperate ways, heeding neither.
A glint of melting regret,
A hint of hope blossoms.
