The Designer's Lament

"Alas, my Creation is in a quandary;
They are trying to take my place
Supplanting their laws for mine;
Hedonism is rampant--
Materialism, its cousin,
Is the god of consciousness...

Why cannot they see me
In the love of the child,
Depending on the parent
Trusting them for the need

I have sent them many signs
To get their attention;
but they receive them not as omens
But as natural forces.

O tempora, awake, come back
Too long have I waited, inamorata,
Nota bene

I come quickly !
