The Dread Of Eternal Idleness

For the first time
I sit down to write
With the dread
I will never have anything to write again

The void of nothing to do
The looking forward to only emptiness
The sudden fear of idleness forever.

But then I force myself
To a few lines
And pray for some interest and continuance

While the dread lingers in me
Of remaining alive for years
With nothing whatsoever to do.
