The Duet

Face to face, and heart to heart,
Two souls are joined in poetic art.
He's a baritone, his voice is low.
She's soprano, the scale she knows.
Together they sing for all to see,
A commingled voice of harmony.
The fluid moves of synchronized dance,
Subtly speak of love and romance.
They venture in, they venture out,
Their music rises and moves about.
Their time and patience together have honed,
Combined they make the sweetest tones.
And the assembled mass of souls,
Inspired with the two made whole
Return back to their lives of thrift,
In search of everlasting gift.
