The Ex Best Friend

Poem By Erica Buxton

You see that teenagegirl dressed in black.
Knowing that if you talk behind her back,
she'll come after you.

She hates back stabbers.
You just stand there, wondering how your best friend
could turn around so quickly.
How she could go from chipper, to gothic.

But the thing you will never understand is,
she got hurt so bad that she stopped
believing in herself and turned to the side
that hides your feelings. That everyone
stopped believing she could make it through
whatever.

You will never understand any of
it. So you turn your back on her &
head to your boyfriend's arms, Thomas.
