The Fantastic Voyage

The siren's song builds toward an inevitable,
But no less euphoric criscendo,
The climax of the wailing mermaid,
Whose moaning leads sea men to their grave,
It's an orgasm of destruction,
A shipwreck on the rocks of ecstacy,
We row towards our death with insatiable thirst,
Desperately seeking the untold pleasures of heaven,
We anxiously race toward our temptress,
Salt air in are lungs,
Sweat on our backs,
Lust in our hearts,
Finally overtaking her, we die,
Gaining nothing and losing all,
We've forgotten to enjoy the ride.
