The Flute Of The Aussie Magpie

The flute of the Aussie Magpie so pleasant to hear
The bird that does sing every day of the year
His music once heard you can never get wrong
He really does have such a beautiful song
He sings on the ground and he sings on the trees
And his familiar music does float in the breeze
Across the Townpark in the sunlight of day
Of the silver billed bird of black and white to gray
To kill and eat little birds to him is not a crime
His ancestors born in the dinosaur time
His kind have lived in Australia for centuries and when the life from him has gone
His D N A in his descendants is destined to live on
In his breeding Season he does sing in the night
And his music sounds beautiful in the moonlight.
