The Gift Of Truth

Poem By Lawrence S. Pertillar

The gift of truth continues giving.
And those unwrapping this package received,
Have to be please of its increasing value.
Hourly.
With a stopping to question,
The worth of it.
With it known those who preferred to deceive,
Are too exposed to tell and hide,
Lies to accept to then perceive...
Truth to reveal and keep it,
Had no chance to become...
The power to stun everyone,
With a choice not to have it with them...
Kept around.
Or admit they had ever,
Received the gift to rely on it.
But thought of this gift as useless.
