The Girl And I Can Walk
There’s a very old woman who “lives”
by Jeremy Scott
In a heart of burned up “money”
I would like to know what she didn’t
Hear about love.
Everybody knows why ice forms around
I couldn’t walk twenty feet without here.
She, however, makes twenty feet a
Trip into that part of me
That knows no love.
Not knowing love?
The emptiness of all is not
Solving the problem.
Voiding the bill
Making love or drinking –
The emptiness is the place
Where I couldn’t touch a person
A loving person or a person with help
I would spell all the words wrong
Even get intelligence wrong
God would curse me for saying such
I try to walk,
And the woman goes into eternity
