The Guilt Of A Hopeful Mind

Guilty of the usual
Appetite for action
And now you stand before your peers
A strong case against you builds
And ravages your reputation
Do not give in to the audience of your accusers
Deplete their reasoning into a rant of the madman
Nothing here is common only mundane and obsolete
Discoveries are held back by academics
No accolade for the fiery tongue
No secrets to answer for the starved
Only red letters spelling out the shortcomings
Constructing excuses for the masses
A grand objective to overthrow
As they bare down we shall change
The seeds…they have seized
All shall be swept under foot
Crushed by the differences
And an unholy allegiance to social trends

Deplete their reasoning into a rant of the madman - what a great line. I loved this poem. Hugs Anna xxx
