The Hypnotist

I spent too much time looking into other eyes,
Watching golden swings, fabricating lies,
Convincing myself of one thing, knowing its not true,
I thought I was a follower, then I noticed you,
I can see your smile, frozen in time,
I can see your eyes, never leaving mine,
You can hear my voice, but you don't know what I say,
I didn't realise I could catch someone this way,
My watch is in my pocket, my hands by my sides,
My tongue is now still, transmissions have all died,
I wish I had known, I wish I could resist,
Didn't realise I could be a hypnotist.
